Christian is a native Oregonian descended from Oregon pioneers. He graduated high school in Portland and attended Oregon State University where he earned an economics degree in 1993.

After a few years in banking, he started his investment career in downtown Portland for a major Wall street firm in 1997.

In 2000 he moved to San Francisco Bay Area to work as an Investment Specialist for Charles Schwab serving Silicon Valley clients. Here he learned lessons on keeping investment expenses low and always doing right by the client.

In 2012 Christian earned his Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from San Francisco State University and later that year, passed the grueling CFP exam.

Before returning to Oregon in 2021, he worked as a financial planner for a senior Investment advisor who specialized in executive compensation for Bay Area tech workers and executives.

Today he lives in Canby with his wife and two children and is happy to be back in his native state.
